How to register with FIRST

All students must be registered in the FIRST system before they can attend Team Phoenix meetings. A parent or guardian begins the process, then adds their child.

Step 1 – Parent creates an account

1. Go to firstinspires.org.
2. Click Sign Up (top right).
3. Create a Parent / Guardian account using your email address.
4. Verify your email address when FIRST sends a confirmation link.

Step 2 – Add your child

1. Log in to your Parent Dashboard.
2. Click Youth Registration.
3. Select Add Youth and enter your child’s information.
4. List their correct date of birth so the system places them in the right program.

Step 3 – Join Team Phoenix

1. Once your child is added, click Apply to a Team.
2. Enter our team number: 2342.
3. Select Team Phoenix.
4. Submit the application.

Step 4 – Complete the Consent & Release form for your child

1. From the parent’s FIRST Dashboard, click the Parent/Guardian – Youth tab.
2. Click your child’s name.
3. On the right, click Youth Options, then Youth Consent & Release.
4. Click the title of the document to expand it.
5. Scroll down, type in the parent’s name, then click Accept & Submit.
6. Once submitted, the Date Signed shows in the upper-right corner.
